Exhibition: Czechia through Foreign Eyes

In the summer semester 2023/24, the VSE International Office organized a photo contest for international students titled “Czechia through Foreign Eyes“. The competition was open to all international students, including those enrolled in Czech and English study programs, as well as exchange students. The primary goal was to showcase the international dimension of VSE and highlight how foreign students perceive the Czech Republic.

Over 60 photographs were submitted, and the top 40 are currently on display in the atrium of the Likeš Auditorium. The exhibition commenced on May 10, 2024, and will continue until May 31, 2024.

The submitted photographs underwent evaluation by both the VSE International Office and the fellow students through an online voting. The winning entries were announced during the award ceremony held on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The winners are:

(1) Alessia Vaccari (Italy) – Foggy Prague, Charles Bridge

(2) Illia Kaminskyi (Ukraine) – Grey Evening, Prague, Nakladové nádraží Žižkov

(3) Lizi Kiladze (Georgia) – Lennon Wall, Prague

Photo of Felipe Garcia Gomes (Brazil) titled “The Wonder of Prague, From Charles Bridge Facing the Prague Castle.” was chosen as the best by the student vote.

We hope to have started a tradition that will continue in the coming years.
