The 2025 Professor Miroslav Vlček Scholarship Awarded to Outstanding Economic Data Student

The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has awarded the Professor Miroslav Vlček Scholarship for 2025 to Nicholas Bubernak, a second-year bachelor student of the Economic Data Science programme at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS).

This scholarship, introduced in 2020, is awarded annually by universities in the Study in Prague consortium to their most active and outstanding international students. Each year, students from Study in Prague universities are honored for their academic excellence and exceptional engagement in promoting their institutions.

Nick exemplifies these qualities. Since his first semester, he has been an active VŠE and FIS Ambassador, demonstrating remarkable proactivity, engagement, and communication skills. His contributions include participating in Open House Days and various fairs, sharing his experiences through social media and blogs to inspire future candidates.

The award was presented by Jakub Fischer, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, during a joint event of the Study in Prague consortium at the Residence of the Mayor of Prague, where representatives from other leading Prague universities also honored their scholarship recipients.

Congratulations to Nick for his exceptional achievements and contributions to the VŠE and FIS communities!
