STUDY-FRIENDLY CAFÉS

Are you someone who needs that “aesthetic vibe” to motivate you to study? Perhaps even with the new coworking space, you’re having trouble finding a seat around campus when you’re in between classes. Well, I compiled a couple of my favourite places to study, and most are a walking distance from our campus!

We, all know and love Miners, which is the closest to our campus, but did you know, they have another branch that’s only ten minutes away by foot or, if you’re lazy like me (🤭), three bus stops away? It’s right before JZP, it’s well-equipped with outlets, lovely outdoor seats for those nicer days, and a great selection of coffee.

If you continue a little past Miners JZP, you’ll find a charming and cosy coffee shop called Cafefin. It has a great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and they have a great selection of food.

Moving on to Tissie, formerly known as La Forme, it is my absolute favourite. It’s just a short walk away from our campus. What makes it stand out is the beautiful courtyard, paired with their pastries and a cup of coffee, which feels like heaven on earth. Plus it’s dog-friendly! Yes, you guessed it, I always take my dog there🤭. The only issue is that it’s not well equipped with outlets. Therefore, it’s a good place for a quick read and drink.

The last place I recommend is a little further, however, it’s only a few tram stops away. Tram lines 5 or 9 will take you directly to Krusta (stop Vodičkova). What’s special about Krusta is that it’s open 24/7. Yes, you heard me, a bakery open 24/7, perfect for you late-nighters. I study in Krusta mostly during the exam season, that’s when you know things are getting serious. Krusta serves delicious pastries, is well equipped with outlets and offers a cosy couch for reading those long research papers or chairs, for when statistics gets too complicated.

A couple of other cafes that are a walking distance from our campus are Žižkovarna and La Boheme Cafe. However, I haven’t had the chance to try them yet! They seem like wonderful locations as well, so if you get the chance to try them, I would love to hear your opinion!
