VSE welcomed over 800 foreign students

This week (September 11 to September 15, 2023), an Orientation Week took place at the Prague University of Economics and Business. This Winter semester VSE welcomed over 800 international students from 69 countries, and they were all invited to join the Orientation Week programme organized by the VSE International Office.

The main program took place on Wednesday and Thursday, providing students with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the campus, meet fellow students, learn basic Czech phrases, and gain insights into what to expect in a new cultural environment.

There are two significant highlights this year. (1) The Team game garnered the highest attendance in the history of Orientation Weeks, over 400 enthusiastic students filled the campus with an aim to connect with their classmates, explore the campus, and delve deeper into knowing VSE, Prague, and Czechia. (2) The favourable weather allowed to open a ChillOut zone outside under the platen tree, a place that had never been used for such a big event before.

All students enjoyed immensely the opportunity to chat, connect and get to know VSE and their classmates better. The fun was contagious and students stayed chatting long after the programme ended.
