Bachelor Programmes

The Prague University of Economics and Business offers five degree bachelor programmes.

Bachelor’s graduates will be awarded an official diploma/degree certificate complemented by a diploma supplement corresponding to the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO. According to the Czech legislation (Higher Education Act), graduates of the International Bachelor Degree Programmes will be awarded the academic degree bakalář (bachelor). Holders of the Bachelor’s degree are entitled to apply for admission to Master’s Programmes. The degree’s abbreviation Bc. is to be used before the name of the graduate.

In today’s global world, international business is of extremely high importance. The IBB programme delivers to students extended theoretical as well as practical knowledge and skill that are essential for understanding and doing business at global scale. Students also have strong language skills. After successful graduation, you will easily find employment at mid-level management positions in multinational companies, or you will be qualified enough to start your own business.

As a student of the Bachelor in Interantional Business (IBB) programme, you can obtain a double degree at one of the following universities:

  • University of Vaasa (Finland)
  • OTH Regensburg (Germany)

In both cases, the option concerns students of the 3rd year of study.

Three-year (six-semester) full-time Bachelor’s program International and Diplomatic Studies (IDS) taught in English covers the fields of international politics, international economics, international law, comparative politics, diplomatic history, as well as diplomatic theory and practice. A strong emphasis is placed on issues regarding the European Union, yet the program includes a variety of optional courses on comparative politics and international relations in other parts of the world, too.

The Bachelor’s program in Economic Data Science is designed for students who want to work in important and well-paid positions in companies or the public sector. Their job will be working with data on which fundamental decisions are based. They can not only evaluate the data, but also analyze it more deeply thanks to advanced statistical and econometric methods. And thanks to the connection with the economy, they will be equipped to make decisions at the highest level.

An English bachelor degree programme Economics (ECON) has been firstly opened at the Faculty of Economics, the primary Faculty at the Prague University of Economics and Business in the academic year 2012/2013. Currently, there are more than 100 students enrolled in this programme from all around the world. Tangibly, students from 24 countries have joined this bachelor programme.
